The Business Analyst works under the direction of the Project Manager and devises and designs computer system requirements for the solution of moderately difficult to complex business problems and formulates procedures for their solutions.
The Business Analyst is responsible for:
- Working with clients to analyze standard practices and procedures of a project.
- Conducting meetings on all levels of client management for purposes of presentations, reviews, approvals of recommendations, etc.
- Defining problems by planning, organizing, and conducting detailed management analytical studies; identifying deficiencies and improving solutions which impact the client's effectiveness and provide the basis for management decisions.
- Consulting enterprise and clients in offering processes and advice on analyzing needs, solving business problems, re-engineering processes, and improving organizational effectiveness.
- Recognizing and identifying potential areas where existing business services, policies, and procedures require change or where new ones need to be developed and making recommendations in these areas.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to express complex technical concepts effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Knowledge of office automation, Information Technology techniques and practices, forms and records management.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- The successful candidate will have strong organizational and leadership skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, operations engineering, or related field.
- 3 years experience in business services and prodecures analysis.
- 3 years experience with business process re-engineering and standards (SEI, AVM, or ISO).
- Experience with business systems analysis and business application development.
