Pearson Learning's eXchange 2 eLearning Portal Delivers Teachers Professional Development Training

The Challenge

Pearson Learning's Lesson Lab division, which provides professional development training and services to school districts, wanted to grow revenue faster than would be possible with their traditional approach of labor-intensive; hands-on consulting. So they enlisted Silicon Space to create a course development eLearning module solution.

The Solution

Silicon Space provided Pearson with its "eXchange2" eLearning portal. It enabled Pearson consultants to create and deliver classes; schedule in person visits and seminars; measure teacher effectiveness via in-classroom PDA-based evaluations, and provide grading, transcripts, and management reports to district leaders on the overall state of those districts' teachers' professional development.

The Result

Silicon Space's "eXchange2" eLearning portal is now in use at 7 districts in 3 states, and continues to enable and promote professional development and success for teachers and district leaders.
