SAN DIEGO – November 14, 2007 – Silicon Space, LLC, experts in customer-facing software solutions that enable companies to grow their businesses, today announced the creation of a new business unit, Silicon Space NoShore, dedicated to leveraging and expanding the company’s proven software delivery model. With the newly formed business unit, the company will be more strategically aligned with its existing client base and better positioned to bring additional value to new customers, such as increased quality, greater development capacity and faster time-to-market.

The Silicon Space NoShore business unit is built on the company’s NoShore Delivery Model in which the skills of local, U.S.-based project managers, technical architects, business analysts and usability experts work in collaboration with a dedicated team of software developers and quality assurance professionals based in Mexico to ensure rapid development of high quality and best-in-class solutions for companies looking to enhance and scale their businesses.

Carlo Saggese, currently vice president of application development at Vistage International, Inc. was a Silicon Space customer while at another company. “In the data storage market, a customer support portal is critical to building and maintaining customer loyalty, driving sales and increasing the lifetime value of a customer. Silicon Space’s local project manager and dedicated team in Mexico were able to quickly and efficiently build and launch our customer support site, resulting in increased business.”

Coined “NoShore,” the Silicon Space delivery model is unique in that it offers customers the benefits of traditional “offshoring” while maintaining the conveniences and efficiencies of a skilled local development team. As such, the NoShore Delivery Model offers several advantages over traditional offshoring and “nearshoring” models, including less risk; greater development interaction; the ability for face-to-face meetings; the convenience of being in the same time zone; lower total cost of engagement; and low attrition rates in the Mexico-based technology services sector.

“Silicon Space’s focus has always been to partner with our customers to help them rapidly roll out high-quality software solutions,” said Ben Norton, chief executive officer of Silicon Space. “We’ve used a NoShore Delivery Model with several of our customers in the past and it has consistently resulted in client success and satisfaction. With the formation of Silicon Space NoShore we are allocating dedicated resources to this portion of our business in order to bring even greater value to our clients.”

The Silicon Space NoShore business unit will be led by Roger Bruce, vice president of global delivery. Bruce has more than 15 years of experience in managing outsourcing operations in United States and Mexico. In this role, he will be responsible for strategic planning and product management.

“The Silicon Space NoShore model effectively ‘virtualizes’ outsourcing for our clients and replicates the experience of having their own extended delivery organization,” said Bruce. “With our unique business model, clients receive all the benefits of traditional offshoring and nearshoring, while maintaining the convenience and efficiencies of a local development team.”
