SSI Hits a Home Run

SAN DIEGO, CA - June 10, 2005 - This year, Silicon Space, Inc. sponsored a local PONY (Protect Our Nations Youth) baseball team in the 14 and under division. The Tecolote Pony Mudcats were coached by Lisa Meyer, Director of Consulting Services, and Eric Vann (Husband of Karin Vann, SSI's Federal Group Project Manager). The Mudcats had a successful season with a 10-4-1 record going into the playoffs as the number one seed. The Mudcats faced the Storm in the championship game, led by great pitching and outstanding fielding on both sides of the chalk. The Mudcats lost 4-2 in the championship game and finished the season with a 2nd place finish in the playoff tournament and received a 1st place trophy for the best overall record. The Mudcats were led by the league's overall homerun leader, Jonathan Meyer with 7 homeruns. The Mudcats have demonstrated their thanks for the support and sponsorship by awarding Silicon Space a team plaque.
